I run a business within a business. Strategizing, negotiating, purchasing, and coordinating from an initial thought to a successful paid media campaign. Finding creative ways to solve clients' media puzzle of who, what, when, and where to advertise. What do I do outside of the office? Play golf, work out, watch my kids play sports, and hang out with family and friends. It's a good life.

Social Marketing
As a communications specialist within my role at PRR, I strategize and implement community engagement initiatives that meet the people where they are. As a generalist to my core, whether it’s a sleek social media campaign or co-hosting events with a partner, I’m here to deliver with what works best for each audience. From large infrastructure projects to wastewater repair, I enjoy learning how people interact with the environment around them and using creative solutions for any scenario. Outside of work, you can find me developing the perfect dessert recipe, watching the latest movie, and volunteering with my community.

I specialize in media relations and strategic planning for a variety of projects, across sectors, from PRR coast to PRR coast. Most of my work centers in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, where I also volunteer with the local chapter for the Public Relations Society of America. I have been a member since 2012 and currently serve as president-elect. I also enjoy volunteering with the Downtown Norfolk Council for the city of Norfolk’s annual Grand Illumination Parade. Outside of work, I enjoy taking dance classes, going to the beach, and spending what we call “mandatory family fun time” with my husband and son.

I support the PRR team leading communications for the WSDOT Puget Sound Gateway Program, a project that aims to improve the lives and experiences of many people in the region. There’s this quote I love: “Build the community you want to be a part of,” and I feel like I get to do that at PRR! Before I joined PRR, I supported mental health and rental assistance programs, issues that I will continue to advocate for in and outside of work. When I’m not working, I volunteer with Bellevue Arts Museum as an auction procurement intern, take a Pilates class, or explore Capitol Hill.

Community Engagement
I work closely with government agencies and organizations in the environmental and transportation sectors to develop and execute external communication strategies for complex infrastructure, planning, and design initiatives that intersect with public interest. My top priority is to ensure that stakeholders are informed, involved, and empowered to shape decisions that influence their general welfare. In my personal time I enjoy traveling, watching local sports, and volunteering in my community.

I lead financial operations for PRR - including accounting, contracting, and strategic planning. PRR's people, broad range of projects, and opportunities make this a fantastic place to work. Most of my free time right now is spent supporting a local, non-profit soccer club. Outside of work, I can’t wait to get back to traveling. I’ve set a goal for one solo adventure travel trip each year. I'm also working on the ‘stand up’ portion of stand-up paddleboarding.

I lead PRR’s west coast environmental sector, guiding integrated solutions for clients that keep our air and water clean, provide renewable energy, make sure our cities are resilient, and design and build meaningful private, public, and green spaces. In more than a decade with PRR, I’ve been fortunate to guide community engagement strategy on major infrastructure projects shaping our region, including combined sewer overflow and water quality projects around the Puget Sound, aviation infrastructure and planning work for some of our major airports, and projects that will help more effectively move people through and between our cities, including the SR 99 Tunnel Project and Sound Transit’s East Link and Federal Way Link extension projects. Outside of work, you can usually find me exploring the Puget Sound with my two kids, baking, or working in my garden.

As the Project Accounting Manager, I have two key roles: overseeing accurate invoicing and contract management and developing our team of Project Accountants. Combining my passion for numbers and strategy, I am dedicated to continuously enhancing billing efficiency and accuracy while nurturing a positive team environment. This passion extends to my volunteer work at a local school where I can connect with the community and make a positive impact. In my free time, I enjoy reading classic literature, traveling and making memories with my family, and spending time with my dog.

Vision statement of anti-racism.

An anti-racist PRR dismantles systems of advantage based on race when and wherever possible. We engage staff of all racial identities in dismantling white supremacy culture at work. This  includes personal ideologies, beliefs, and behaviors. And, it includes removing white supremacy culture from the systems, cultural messages, institutional policies, procedures, and practices that PRR and our staff interact with and inform. We believe it is not enough to be “not racist.” We must be “anti-racist.”
